villa was constructed in 1994 in provencal style. It is situated
in 5000 square meters (about an acre and a half) of private
woodland and garden with its own driveway and ample parking.
It faces due south to the beaches at Antibes. The villa is large,
airy and constructed to a very high standard both inside and
out. It is decorated with a mixture of high quality European
and Asian paintings and furniture.
The villa is set on gently sloping land and
is utterly calm and peaceful. It has splendid views of the
surrounding hills and countryside and of the coast at Antibes
on a clear day. It is 1.5 km from Tourettes Sur Loup, a medieval
hill-top village rated by most guidebooks as one of the most
beautiful in the region. The village has numerous shops, restaurants
and artists' ateliers and a lively market Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The villa is 10 minutes' drive from St Paul de Vence, 25 minutes
from Nice and 45 minutes from Monaco. All of the region's
other well known beach and tourist attractions, Cannes, St
Tropez, Juan les Pins etc, are within easy driving distance
however the beauty of the Cote D' Azur's so-called "arrierepays",
or back country, is that one can choose between the tourist
hotspots, which can be busy during summer, and the peace and
quiet of the environment around villages such as Tourettes.
